Got some new photos back that I shot with my Olympus Pen. Shot in Jersey, NYC and on a Philly trip to visit Mike.
Had a "meeting" in the beer store.
Photo on the right courtesy of none other than Dfine himself.
There's Dave, melting as usual. Sorry for the odd angle.
We're tossing the idea around of putting together a zine of some photos soon. I started weeding through some already, just have to make a decision about the cover. Also, got an illustration from Eric for his Iram The Wanderer zine and it's really rad. Such an insane amount of detail. The project might take some time but it'll be worth it in the end. More updates soon.

Some Photos From CMJ 09
Got the chance to check out Patrick Watson and Alec Ounsworth (from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) the other night. I highly recommend checking them both out. A bunch of other good bands were playing that night but my cold started getting the best of me. I'll probably have more up on my Flickr soon.

It's always exciting to see the new visual identity for the upcoming Olympics, and with the 2010 Vancouver Olympics approaching fast, we thought it would be appropriate to show some of our favorite posters from past Olympic events.
Here's the poster for the 2010 Paralympic and Olympic games, which are designed to be viewed together or separately:

Alvin Lustig: Don't Design Down
Alvin Lustig was an amazing American graphic designer, typographer, and interior designer from the 40's and 50's who only lived until forty.
“The words graphic designer, architect, or industrial designer stick in my throat, giving me a sense of limitation, of specialization within the specialty, of a relationship to society and form itself that is unsatisfactory and incomplete. This inadequate set of terms to describe an active life reveals only partially the still undefined nature of the designer.” - Alvin Lustig
