New stuff from Eric Copeland (1/3 of Black Dice). Definitely his popiest stuff yet, if you could even call it that. Thinking this might be my summertime jam in some odd way. Looking forward to catching his set in a few weeks when he plays NYC.
Here's a mini preview of our new zine, "I Seen You." It's based on the Subway Sketches I've been doing, but I've expanded it to drawing people wherever. Check out some examples below:
The zine is 12 pages and is printed in an edition of 80. I'll be giving some away and they are now also being sold at Desert Island Books in Brooklyn. Or if you feel like PayPal-ing it, click the button below.
Head to your local Canadian magazine carrier and pick up a copy of the newest issue of Color Magazine. Inside you'll find a photo I shot of Bill Marshall and lots of other good stuff. I also made the contributors page in the beginning which I'm extremely psyched on. Thanks to the guys at Color for running the photo, Marsh worked extra hard to get that trick.
And as always, check out what the fellas of Division East and NJ Skateshop have been up to at ShredNJ.
Every now and then this song gets in my head for several weeks. i originally was on the fence about High Places, but I recently came across this video which solidifies this song as a favorite of mine. Sam Mildner used all found footage for the video which creates a pretty nostalgic feel. The first shot of the kids in the water at :37 also gave me a chill for some reason.
Nice print work from Erik Anthony Hamline (aka Woods & Weather) out in Minneapolis. There must be something in the water in MN. Seems like there's an endless supply of good design coming out of there! More at his website.
Shot a few photos from the road to Pittsburgh last weekend. A lot of fog, a few college parties and a keg race later, we recorded some stuff that we're pretty psyched on.
Been working on a new accordion style zine. Tentative title is "Line en Route". This is pretty close to being done and will probably be in an edition of 50.
Also, expect a Gold Mold/Smolder split cassette sometime in the near future. Get excited, radical things on the horizon.
And thanks for the Smolder support, you know who you are.
