The Creators Project: Jonathan Glazer and J. Spaceman

Yesterday I made my way down to Dumbo to check out the light installations and pieces at The Creators Project. A huge standout and well worth waiting on line was this piece by Jonathan Glazer and J. Spaceman from the band Spiritualized. To say the least, it was really incredible. There was fog and speakers lining the floor, and depending on where you stood, heard different parts of the song playing. Pretty much instantly took you to another world. There was a very cathedral-like atmosphere to it, from waiting in line, to the girl at the entrance telling me "It's okay to go in now", to people just spacing out staring at the ceiling. The video below was taken from by someone who saw it at Coachella and isn't that great, but it was the best I could find.

"Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart. Stay hungry. Stay foolish."
