Film Stills: The Conversation

Here are some stills from Francis Ford Coppola's The Conversation from 1974. I've been trying to watch more movies lately and have been specifically drawn to movies from the 70s for one reason or another. I came across this one and immediately loved how amazing the shots are and how awesome the audio is as well. (There's a lot of tape splicing sounds, rewinding, street noises, etc. Stuff that I've often tried to incorporate into my music.) While watching it I said to myself several times that I should be taking screen shots of some of these, but today I took the easy way out as Filmgrab has done all of the dirty work on this one. I plan on taking more film stills to post, but figured this would be a good starting point. Thanks Filmgrab!

The Conversation stars Gene Hackman and is available on Netflix instant. I highly recommend it. There's also a lot of cool analog tape equipment in here if you're a gear nerd.
